Cookie and Browser Storage Notice
Draft — not yet in effect. Operator details and an effective date will be added before ThinBlimp opens paid plans.
1. Cookies
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
Sign-in session (sb-…-auth-token, sometimes split into numbered parts) | Our authentication provider's library, on our domain | Keeps you signed in and secures your session | Strictly necessary |
That is the only cookie ThinBlimp sets. There are no cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, personalisation or A/B testing, and our page-visit measurement uses none (§3).
2. Browser storage
These are stored in your own browser (localStorage, or sessionStorage where noted). Clearing your browser's site data removes them; nothing breaks except the preference. None is sent to us, except the one marked ▲.
| Key | What it remembers |
|---|---|
scoper_theme | Light or dark appearance |
scoper_watchlist | Markets you have starred |
scoper_analytics_mode | Which Analytics view you last used |
scoper_feed_categories | Which Feed categories you follow |
scoper_slate_density | Card or row layout on the Sportsbook board |
scoper_handle | A display handle you chose for scoops and alerts |
scoper_tp_dismissed | Take-profit prompts you have dismissed |
scoper_tp_auto_last_shown_at | When such a prompt was last shown, so it is not repeated |
thinblimp_chart_pair | The chart colour pair you picked |
thinblimp_chart_team_v2 | Whether charts use team colours |
thinblimp_quad_slate, thinblimp_quad_view | Which games are on your Desk, and its layout |
thinblimp_horizon_slate, thinblimp_horizon_view | The same, for the long-horizon wall |
thinblimp_score_events (sessionStorage — cleared when the tab closes) | Score changes seen while the tab was open, drawn on live charts |
thinblimp_internal | Set only in our own team's browsers, to leave our visits out of page-visit counts |
▲ thinblimp_attribution | How you first arrived: the campaign tags in the link (UTM source, medium, campaign), the domain of the referring site (never the full address), and the first page you landed on. Nothing is stored if you arrived directly with no campaign tag. Sent to us only if you join the waitlist, and stored with your signup (Privacy Policy §2). |
Keys beginning scoper_ carry the product's former name. Renaming them would silently reset every existing user's preferences, so they are deliberately unchanged.
3. Page-visit measurement
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Per Vercel's documentation, it tells visits apart using a hash of request details that is not stored and changes daily, so it cannot follow you from one day to the next or across other websites.
4. Third parties
Our hosting, authentication, error-monitoring, rate-limiting and email providers process request information in the course of delivering the Service; they are listed in the Privacy Policy (§8). None of them is an advertising vendor, and none sets tracking cookies through ThinBlimp. When you follow a link to an exchange, sportsbook or news site, that site's own cookie policy applies.
5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not track you across other sites and do not sell or share personal information for advertising, so there is nothing for these signals to switch off.
