Accessibility Statement
Draft — not yet in effect. Operator details and an effective date will be added before ThinBlimp opens paid plans.
1. Our commitment
We want ThinBlimp to be usable by as many people as possible, and we treat accessibility problems as defects rather than feature requests.
We have not completed a formal accessibility audit, and we do not claim conformance to WCAG 2.1 AA or any other standard. We are stating what we actually do rather than a level we have not verified.
2. What we have done
- Light and dark themes are both available (the site opens in dark; your choice is remembered).
- Loading indicators, charts and the landing page respect the operating system's reduced-motion setting — motion is reduced, not removed, so a loading state stays distinguishable from a finished one.
- Explanatory text shown on hover also appears when a control receives keyboard focus.
- Many icon-only controls carry accessible names (not audited for all).
- Numeric data uses tabular figures so columns stay aligned.
- Key chart values are also given as text (legends and hover readouts).
3. Known limitations
- Keyboard focus is not always visible. Many custom controls suppress the browser's focus outline. A keyboard user can reach them but may not see where they are. We are working through these.
- Explanations shown on hover may not appear on touch devices, and do not appear for elements that cannot receive keyboard focus.
- The site does not follow the operating system's light/dark preference; it opens in dark.
- The product is data-dense by design. Dense tables and multi-column layouts are harder to navigate with assistive technology, and we have not verified our markup with a screen reader end to end.
- Some charts are drawn on a canvas; their key values are available as text nearby, but the canvas itself is not navigable.
- Colour is used to convey direction (gain/loss). Where colour carries meaning we generally pair it with a sign or a label, but we have not verified every instance.
4. Feedback
If any part of ThinBlimp is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us at the contact address published when these terms take effect and describe what you were trying to do. We will respond, and we treat these reports as bugs.
